Ads & budget
How ad money works — a daily budget you authorize, a cap the agent cannot exceed, and who clicks "go".
Advertising is the one place where the agent spends your money directly, so it has its own limits, separate from Work Credits.
Where your ads actually run
On BizOS's own Meta ad account and Page, not yours. There is no Facebook account to link, no permission to grant and no token to renew — see Connections. Your campaigns stay yours: BizOS only shows you, and only lets the agent touch, the campaigns created for your workspace.
The only thing you set up is the money below.
The daily budget
Settings → Budget. You set a daily budget: the amount your agent may spend on advertising per day. It caps the budgets of the Meta campaigns it sets up — the agent cannot set a campaign above it.
The budget is charged to your linked card daily, and the panel shows the monthly equivalent so the number is never a surprise.
Changing the amount requires authorizing it: you review the daily figure and click Pay. An active paid subscription is required to save a budget.
Who decides to spend
This is your autonomy setting — see Your agent:
| Mode | Ad spend |
|---|---|
| Ask before spending (recommended) | The agent prepares everything, then waits for your OK. |
| Full auto | It launches and adjusts alone, within the daily cap and wallet. |
Full auto does not mean unlimited. It means nobody has to click: the ceiling is still the daily budget you authorized.
The Ads control
The Ads control in the workspace tells you, at a glance, where campaigns stand:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not started | No campaign yet. The ad account and Page are assigned when you launch — nothing to connect. |
| Live | Campaigns are running and spending. |
| Mixed | Some campaigns run, others are paused. |
| Paused | Nothing is spending. |
| Check | The campaign state could not be read — retry, then contact support. |
Open it and each campaign carries its own badge: Soon (being prepared), Review (Meta is reviewing), Running, Paused, Issue.
None of these states ever means "connect your Meta account": there is nothing to connect. If the agent ever tells you to connect Meta, it is wrong — tell support.
When a payment fails
If the card is declined, the budget is not activated — no campaign starts on an unpaid budget. Update the card and try again.
Two situations are handled deliberately conservatively:
- A payment is already pending. Wait for confirmation before changing the amount, so one budget is never charged twice.
- An outcome we could not confirm. It is never retried automatically; support verifies it before any further charge. We would rather block a charge than risk taking it twice.
Keeping an eye on it
Campaigns, spend and results are on your dashboard. If something looks wrong, the fastest lever is the Ads control — pausing is instant and costs nothing.
