Getting started
Your first hour with BizOS — set up the company, give the agent power, and get a first deliverable out.
This is the shortest path from an empty account to something you can actually look at.
1. Set up your company
The agent works from what it knows about your business. Open Settings → Company and fill in what you sell, to whom, and what you are trying to achieve. A vague company profile produces vague work — this is the single input with the biggest effect on quality.
2. Give it power
By default nothing runs on its own. In the workspace Controls:
- Set Power to on.
- Set Tasks/day to a small number to begin with. It caps how much autonomous work happens per day, and you can raise it once you trust the output.
Leave Agent email off until you have read Connections — you generally want to see a few drafts before anything is sent in your name.
3. Ask for something concrete
Open the chat and ask for one specific deliverable. Compare:
Help me with marketingWrite a one-page positioning brief for our solar B2B offer,
aimed at facility managers, and save it as a document. The second produces something you can judge. The first produces a conversation.
Slash commands shape the intent for you:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/goal | Turns an outcome into action |
/next | Sets the next tasks |
/ask | Answers without taking action |
/brief | Daily progress and blockers |
/report | Creates a saved report |
/review | Reviews an asset or result |
4. Watch the work happen
Work runs as tasks. A task moves from pending to in progress to done, and its deliverables land in Documents.
You do not have to sit and watch: the agent keeps working after you close the tab, and you can catch up from the task list or from your notifications.
5. Judge the first output
Open the document it produced and react in chat — say what is wrong, what to keep, what to redo. Correcting a real deliverable teaches the agent more about your business than any amount of up-front configuration.
