Tasks & Work Credits
How work is organised into tasks, what each one costs, and what happens when one fails.
Work in BizOS happens as tasks. A task is one unit of work with a deliverable at the end, and it is also the unit you pay for.
The life of a task
- Created — by you (in chat, or from the task list) or by the agent when it plans its own work.
- Running — the agent picks it up. Only one task runs at a time per company, so work never overwrites itself.
- Done — the deliverable lands in Documents, and the task is marked done.
Work is asynchronous. You can close the tab: the task keeps going and finishes without you.
Kinds of task
The workspace labels tasks by what they produce:
| Label | What it is |
|---|---|
TASK | General work |
RESEARCH | Gathering and summarising information |
CREA | Producing creatives |
ADS | Campaign work |
FEATURE | Building something on your site or product |
What it costs
1 Work Credit = 1 task, or 1 creative.
Credits are account-wide and shown in the workspace and in Settings → Tasks
as N of M left.
Free, and always free: talking to the agent, /ask, reading and writing
documents yourself, browsing your dashboard, checking your balance.
A batch of creatives costs one credit per creative — ask for five and it costs five. If you do not have enough for the batch you asked for, the agent stops and asks you in chat how many to run, rather than silently doing fewer.
When a task fails
If a task fails on our side, the credit is refunded automatically. You do not need to count, reconcile, or ask support for it.
If a task ends as cancelled or blocked, it means it could not be completed as specified — usually a missing connection or a constraint it could not satisfy. The chat message on the task says which.
Running out
When the balance reaches zero, paid actions stop and the workspace tells you. Nothing breaks and nothing is lost — the agent simply stops taking on new paid work until you top up. See Billing.
Scheduling and recurring work
A task can be scheduled for later, and the agent can keep recurring work running on its own — a weekly report, a regular check. Recurring work obeys the same Tasks/day cap as everything else, so it can never quietly eat your day's allowance.
